The only water we use is deionized water!

Deionized water is water that has had its mineral ions removed through a process known as ion exchange. This results in a high-purity water that is free of salts and all minerals . Deionized water is often used for cleaning purposes because it does not leave any residue or streaks, and it does not conduct electricity, making it safe for use on electrical equipment like solar panels. Additionally, since it does not contain any minerals or contaminants that could cause corrosion or damage to the solar panels, it is considered to be a safe and effective cleaning solution.

Is it possible to damage your solar panel system if it isn’t cleaned properly?

It is possible to cause damage to solar panels if they are not cleaned properly. Improper cleaning techniques, such as using harsh or abrasive materials or applying too much pressure can scratch or crack the surface of the panel, reducing its efficiency and potentially even rendering it inoperable. Using a pressure washer can damage the seals on the panels causing water to get inside and harm the panels.

Improper cleaning can also leave behind residue or streaks that can interfere with the panels’ ability to absorb light and convert it into energy. This can result in decreased power output and reduced efficiency over time.

For these reasons, it is important to use proper cleaning techniques and materials when cleaning solar panels. For example, using soft, non-abrasive cloths and soft deionized water will help to minimize the risk of damage and ensure that the panels are cleaned effectively and left streak and spot free.

In addition to using proper cleaning techniques, it is also important to consider the frequency and timing of cleaning. For example, regular cleaning may be necessary in areas with high levels of dust or pollution, while less frequent cleaning may be sufficient in areas with lower levels of environmental contaminants.A regular cleaning schedule for your panel cleaning can make the process easier, faster, and cheaper.

By taking these factors into consideration, it is possible to clean solar panels effectively without causing damage and to maintain their efficiency and performance over time.

Safety is our number 1 priority!

Safety is a concern when cleaning solar panels because it involves working at heights, often on steep or sloped roof surfaces, and the panels themselves can be fragile and prone to cracking or breaking if not handled carefully. Additionally, cleaning solutions and equipment can pose hazards if not used properly.

Working at heights can be particularly dangerous, as falls from roofs can result in serious injury or death. It is important for those cleaning solar panels to use proper safety equipment, such as harnesses and fall protection systems, to minimize the risk of falls.

The fragility of solar panels can also pose a safety concern, as even minor impacts or scratches can damage the panels and reduce their efficiency. It is important for those cleaning solar panels to use gentle, non-abrasive cleaning methods and equipment to minimize the risk of damage.

To ensure the safety of those cleaning solar panels, it is our highest priority to follow all relevant safety regulations and guidelines, as well as to provide proper training and equipment to our employees. By taking safety seriously, we can help to minimize the risk of injury and ensure the longevity and efficiency of the solar panels we are cleaning.
